Choose your route first
The ride known as Velo Czorsztyn combines sections of VeloDunajec on the southern shore with the route along the northern shore. You can include a boat crossing between the castles or ride around without crossing the lake. These options have different demands, so check the elevation profile of your chosen route.
For a first visit or a family outing, consider a shorter section. Pick somewhere you would like to reach and a comfortable place for a break. Leave enough time and energy for the return journey instead of concentrating on distance alone.
Plan access from your cabin
Osada Widokówka is in Huba and overlooks the lake. A view from the terrace does not mean the cabin opens directly onto a flat cycle path. Check the route from the property to your chosen starting point and include it in your plans.
From Dursztyn, a lakeside ride can be a separate day trip. Choose the section and parking location before deciding when to leave. This makes it easier to spend the morning riding rather than searching for the start.
Before setting off
- Compare distance, climbs and surfaces with the abilities of everyone in your group.
- If you plan a crossing, check departures and bicycle carriage with the operator.
- Save the map, agree on your return point and allow breaks for water and food.
- If you hire bicycles, confirm the return time before you begin.
Leave room for a slow afternoon
You do not have to combine cycling, both castles and another attraction in one day. Back in Huba, you can still enjoy time on the terrace overlooking the water. Hot tub and sauna sessions are booked separately and carry an additional charge.
